How sustainable is any sneaker? Well traditionally sneakers have been made from leather, plastic or rubber. There are no hard and fast definitions on exactly what makes any sneaker sustainable, green or eco-friendly, but efforts are recognized when we use recycled materials, like PET (plastic and rubber), biodegradable materials (that can blend back into the earth) or renewable materials, like bamboo, cotton and cork (which can be manufactured or generated quickly enough to keep pace with how fast they are used up). We will continue to do our best to live by the above rules - knowing we are by no means perfect.
